If you’re checking out a signals community, you’ll usually find two tiers: free and paid. The free channel gets a taste, the “VIP” gets the real thing, and the provider earns from subscriptions. We used to be structured that way too.
As of July 2026, we’re not. Everything at Ascendant Traders is free. Every signal, every language channel, every recap, every piece of education. No VIP, no subscription, no card on file. This post explains why, because “free” in crypto usually (and rightfully) triggers your scam radar.
The problem with paid signal tiers
The subscription model creates a quiet conflict of interest. When a provider’s income depends on renewals, the incentive is to make the paid tier look indispensable: hold back the “best” calls, add artificial urgency, dress up performance. The entire industry’s worst habits — inflated win rates, cherry-picked recaps, “guaranteed profits” — grow directly out of needing to justify next month’s charge.
We’d rather not fight that gravity. So we removed it.
How we actually make money (the honest part)
We partner with BloFin, the exchange we recommend for executing trades. When a community member opens an account through our partner link and trades there, BloFin shares a portion of its own trading fee with us.
Read that carefully, because the details matter:
- You pay nothing extra. The commission comes out of the exchange’s fee, not on top of it.
